Frequently Asked Questions

Honest answers to the most common questions property owners in Wise County ask us about land clearing, pricing, equipment, and more.

Pricing & Quotes

Land clearing costs vary widely depending on several factors: the size of the property, how dense the brush and trees are, the terrain, and what you need done with the debris afterward. In North Texas, costs can range from a few hundred dollars for a small residential lot cleanup to several thousand for larger acreage with heavy cedar and mesquite.

💡 The honest answer: No reputable contractor can give you a fair price without seeing the property first. That’s exactly why we offer free same-day on-site estimates — it’s the only way to quote accurately. Call 940-577-4772 and we’ll come take a look at no charge.

Several things affect the final price:

Property size — More acreage generally means more time and cost, though larger jobs often have a lower per-acre rate.

Vegetation density — Light grass and brush clears much faster than dense cedar thickets or mature hardwood trees.

Terrain — Flat, open land is faster to clear than rocky, hilly, or wet terrain.

Debris handling — What happens to what we clear matters. Piling and burning on-site is typically less expensive than hauling debris off the property.

Additional services — Stump removal, grading, culvert installation, and dirt work are typically quoted separately unless bundled into the main project.

Access — Properties that are difficult to access with equipment may have additional mobilization considerations.

It depends on the job. Some projects are better quoted as a flat project rate — especially smaller residential lots or targeted cleanup work. Larger acreage jobs may be quoted per acre. We’ll explain how we’re pricing it during the estimate visit and why, so you always understand exactly what you’re paying for before you commit to anything.
Deposit requirements vary by project size. We’ll be upfront about this during the quoting process. For smaller jobs, we often collect payment upon completion. Larger projects may require a partial deposit to reserve your place on the schedule. We’ll always communicate this clearly before any work begins.
Yes — bundling services in one mobilization is almost always more cost-effective than scheduling them separately. If you need land clearing, house pad grading, fence line prep, and a culvert installed, getting it all done in one visit saves you on mobilization time and often results in a better overall price. Mention everything you need during the estimate walk and we’ll quote it all together.

The Process

It’s simple and straightforward:

1. You call or text — Reach us at 940-577-4772. Tell us what you need and where the property is.

2. We come out same day — We visit the property, walk it with you, ask questions, and give you a clear written quote on the spot.

3. You decide — No pressure. Take your time. When you’re ready, just call us back.

4. We schedule — Typically within a few days of approval, depending on current workload. We confirm your date and time.

5. We do the work — We show up on time, work thoroughly and efficiently, and don’t leave until the job is complete.

6. You enjoy your land.

It depends heavily on the size and condition of the property. A small residential lot cleanup might take a few hours. A lightly brushed 5-acre parcel could be done in half a day. A heavily wooded 20–50 acre tract with stumps, dense cedar, and site prep work could take multiple days. We’ll give you a realistic timeline during the estimate visit so you can plan accordingly.
We ask that someone is available at the start of the job to confirm the scope and boundaries so we clear exactly the right area. You don’t need to stay the entire time — most customers check in at the start and come back when we’re finished. We’ll communicate with you throughout the day if anything comes up that needs your input.
Typically within a few days, depending on our current schedule. If your project is time-sensitive — you’re trying to hit a construction start date, a fence crew is coming next week, or you have a real estate closing deadline — tell us upfront and we’ll do everything we can to accommodate. Just call 940-577-4772 and we’ll work it out.
